The Sunday lunch menu was succinct, which was actually refreshing as this clearly is a drinking pub first, with a wide range of beers and guest beers. The roast dinner came up fresh, piping hot and plenty of it. There were lots of vegetables and they were perfectly cooked. It was a great value two course Sunday lunch and we left replete.
The one thing that really made it for me was the lovely, friendly, attentive staff and the locals around the bar, who clearly frequent this pub because it has such a nice atmosphere and is well fun. The pub was also very dog friendly, which really helped us.
Decor simple, rustic and clean and tidy. Really enjoyed the experience and hope to come back one day. Thank you Railway Inn.

The owner and staff are welcoming, social distancing is sensibly enforced, and the ales are really good too.
